The Nage-no-Kata is one of judo’s foundational forms: fifteen throwing techniques grouped into five families, each one a study in balance, timing and human movement. At its best, it is not a performance but a conversation between two people who understand the art deeply.
This two-day seminar in Nekala, Tampere, is led by Álvaro Riveros Gorriti, 4th Dan and three-time Finnish Nage-no-Kata champion. It is open to competitors, coaches and anyone who wants to understand the kata properly rather than simply go through the motions.
